Using The iPad Virtual Runner with ANT+ Devices

The main screen for the Virtual Runner application provides you with easy access to all of the applications features.

The "ANT+ Setup" button allows you to connect your ANT footpod and optionally your ANT heart rate monitor.

Virtual Runner is ANT+™ certified and compatible with ANT+ foot pods and heart sensors. Visit the www.thisisant.com/directory
for a list of compatible products.

Connect the Wahoo Connector to your iPad. When properly connected, the "ANT+ Network Enabled" will change from "No" to "Yes".

Now, press the "Connect" button listed for the Foot Pod. A screen will appear which will fill in with data once the Virtual Runner sees your Foot Pod. Note that you need to be shaking the footpod (or running with it) in order for it transmit data to the app. Once connected, return to the prior screen. If it fails to connect after several minutes of running or shaking the footpod, we recommend replacing the battery in the footpod. It takes one CR2032 battery.

The red "no" , should be replaced with a green "yes" next to the Connect Foot Pad.

If you also have a Heart Rate Monitor, press the "Connect" button listed for the Heart Rate Monitor Pod. A screen will appear which will fill in with data once the Virtual Runner sees your Foot Pod.

Return to the prior screen. The red "no" , should be replaced with a green "yes" next to the Connect Heart Rate Monitor.

Return to the Main Screen.

Now you are ready to select your course and run. Press the "Play Video" button.

Now, just start running. The video will start and keep pace with you. You automatically control the video speed. The dashboard shows your pace, cadence, and heart rate if you are using a heart rate monitor. If you stop, the video stops. If you resume running, the video resumes playing.
